Data Privacy & Protection Policy
How the RCCG YAYA Global Counselling Directorate protects, handles, and stewards your information across digital pastoral platforms.
1. Pastoral Care Confidentiality Standards
We operate under strict pastoral privilege. Disclosures made by seekers within counselling chat rooms or voice conversations are held in pastoral confidence. We do not sell, rent, monetize, or publicly disclose personal prayer requests, confessions, or private spiritual challenges.
2. Life-Safety & Safeguarding Exceptions
Pastoral confidentiality is sacred; however, in compliance with biblical safeguarding and statutory obligations, confidentiality may be broken exclusively under two urgent conditions:
- Imminent Threat of Self-Harm or Suicide: Where a seeker demonstrates immediate intent to cause serious bodily harm or take their own life.
- Child Abuse or Vulnerable Person Abuse: Where an ongoing or imminent danger to a minor or vulnerable adult is disclosed.
In such situations, our duty of care requires escalation to the 24/7 Counselling Supervisor and relevant crisis support authorities.
3. Anonymous Sessions & Ephemeral Data
Seekers choosing Anonymous Mode are never required to provide a real name or email address. Sessions are identified solely by a cryptographically random session token (e.g. CC-XXXXXXXX). Anonymous session transcripts are retained for pastoral continuity only while the case is active, and are permanently archived or expunged following inactivity.
4. Candidate Data & Water Baptism Records
Personal information provided during baptismal class registration (Full Name, Gender, Preferred Name for Certificate, and Attendance History) is stored strictly for discipleship tracking, attendance reconciliation, and issuance of the official RCCG Baptismal Certificate.
